Job Description

The opportunity:

We are looking for a senior consultant to join our environmental management team on the Sunshine Coast. Reporting to the Qld Practice Leader - Planning & Environmental Management, you will undertake a variety of projects, desk based and field work, with a key client for a period of 1 year, with the possibility to extend. You will represent NGH and provide in-house environmental management and planning advice to our client.

  • Ensuring environmental aspects and impacts are managed for the delivery of several key regional projects.
  • Work on a number of different projects depending on the region's program and priorities.
  • Providing technical advice on the management of environmental and sustainability values.
  • Preparing environmental desktop assessments, review of environmental factors and EMPS, permits, undertake audits and inspections, provide environmental advice as required, attend project team meetings and manage project contracts in progress

Desired Skills and Experience

We will be looking for candidates with the following attributes:

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary education in Environmental Science/Engineering or related Environmental Management field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar environmental management role
  • Experience in the review and preparation and/or implementation of Environmental Management Plans and delivery environmental monitoring programs.
  • Experience with Environmental Management Systems, including digital environmental data collation, analysis and review, and GIS platforms.

You will also be a team player and have strong communication and interpersonal skills
