Job Description

The role:

The project management team wear multiple hats, they’re seen as true advisors and thought partners of the business. Reporting to the NSW Regional Lead - Project Management, you will oversee administrative, financial and schedule performance of projects. The Project Controller strives to continually improve NGH projects including NGH customer service, data and report quality, productivity and efficiency and profitability. This position is perfect for someone who loves to get their hands dirty in the world of project control.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the PMO and Consulting Teams to ensure projects are planned and executed in line with NGH principles, procedures and project management best practice.
  • Learn and master the NGH ERP system to assist in the seamless delivery of project and financial control tasks.
  • Implement and follow cost and schedule policies.
  • Prepare invoices based on project milestones, and/or time and materials, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Generate reports from ERP system, providing key insights to stakeholders and providing transparency and accountability of project performance
  • Draft and manage subcontractor agreements

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

You will have:

  •  High attention to detail in managing project data and financial information
  • Advanced excel skills including the creation of formulas, macros and pivot tables
  • Solid experience with ERP systems and the ability to navigate and utilise for project set up, reporting and auditing.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles to assess and interpret financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High standard of customer service for internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional administration skills as well as general understanding of project lifecycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time to achieve outcomes
  • Proven planning and analysis skills
  • Ability to utilise costing and scheduling techniques
