Job Description

The Opportunity:

As the Practice Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and direction of our Victorian consulting practice.

This role is ideal for a seasoned consultant and business development strategist with expertise in client relationship management and project oversight. You’ll lead, inspire and grow a talented biodiversity team to deliver outstanding project outcomes while driving initiatives that align with market trends and NGH’s strategic goals.

The position offers a unique blend of technical influence, commercial focus, and the opportunity to engage directly with clients and industry leaders to position NGH as a thought leader in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development and Growth:
    Drive client relationships as a trusted advisor, identifying and securing new business opportunities

  • Operational and Project Management:
    Provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations, while overseeing projects to ensure timely, within-budget project completion.

  • Leadership and Team Development
    Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional development and performance

Desired Skills and Experience

What we are looking for:

  • Proven client relationship management, business development, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Strong communication, networking, and financial management skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Environmental Science, Ecology) 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in a consulting or ecology role, with a track record in business development and project leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching teams and managing financial and strategic reporting is a plus
