The opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Consultant - Environmental Management to join the team supporting major infrastructure projects across the South Coast Region. Based at a busy site office on the Gold Coast, you'll provide expert advice, ensure environmental compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery.
The work is with a key client where you will represent NGH and provide in-house environmental management and planning advice to our client
This is a full-time 12-month opportunity offering the chance to work closely with a passionate team.

Assess and manage environmental risks across a range of infrastructure projects

Monitor works compliance and ensure all activities meet legislative and contractual obligations

Provide clear, timely advice to project teams, consultants and contractors

Undertake site visits and assessments to support project delivery

Promote best practice environmental management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain accurate project records and support a strong safety culture
We will be looking for candidates with the following attributes:
Ideally you will have:
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field

Strong knowledge of environmental management and risk management practices
-
Experience supporting road/civil construction projects in the South Coast Region

Experience working within or adjacent to National Parks

Knowledge of the planning and approvals framework

Ability to complete environmental assessments and review consultant reports with attention to detail

Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with project teams, contractors and stakeholders

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
-
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
-
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for site visits as required
