Job Description

The Opportunity:

As the driving force in Victoria, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional financial and operational results that align with our company's strategic goals.

We need a leader who can inspire and motivate our team to achieve their full potential, while taking ownership of managing the people, profit, and loss of this growing region of the business. You'll develop pricing strategies, drive revenue growth, and identify new market opportunities to keep us ahead of the competition.

In this exciting role, you'll also be responsible for developing and implementing powerful marketing strategies to promote our services and build strong relationships with clients. And with your outstanding people management skills, you'll ensure that our talented team of professionals is fully engaged, motivated, and equipped to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance and Performance 

  • Develop, communicate, and successfully implement the strategic operational direction and plan of the State. 

  • Develop pricing strategies with the CFO

  • Manage State P&L, optimising revenue, gross profit and operating profit margins within company goals. 

  • Pro-actively monitor and respond to the business performance metrics including but not limited to, utilisation rates, realisation rates and resource planning. 

  • Set and manage budgets in consultation with CEO and CFO 

  • Prepare and present company monthly project and financial results and respond to enquiries and queries raised by the CEO and executive team. 

People & Capability 

  • Implement agreed organisation structures to maximise performance against financial, technical, and human resource goals. 

  • Lead, mentor, coach and motivate the team to achieve organisational and personal professional development goals through effective communication 

  • Deliver HR strategies, with support from People & Culture, such as employment/education training, employee development, communications, compensation, benefits, record management, employment and industrial relations, organisational and resource planning and change management. 

  • Maintain adequate resources by assisting with recruitment efforts, monitoring team billability, identify training needs, undertaking performance evaluation, and building effective team dynamics. 

  • Interact with colleagues in a positive solution focused and collaborative manner to engender a harmonious environment.  

  • Take an active part in the Senior Leadership meetings and provide updates and reports as directed by COO and CEO. 

  • Support Regional Managers in identifying and tackling underperformance within the technical services and implement strategies to address. 

Marketing & Business Development 

  • Collaborate with Technical Directors/Principals to identify market opportunities and maintain a sufficient pipeline of forward work. 

  • Identify potential new market areas and, in conjunction with the executive, assess their compatibility with the Company’s strategic plan and ability to generate a return on investment. 

  • Work with Clients & Markets team to identify sales and marketing priorities to grow the sales pipeline and enhance NGH’s reputation and position in the market. 

  • Deliver client and market strategies through active participation in brand initiatives, thought leadership initiatives, campaign activations, and other measures that build NGH’s reputation and position in the market.  

  • Actively assess the value of marketing, BD, and promotional opportunities on a cost-benefit basis

  • Tertiary Qualifications in relevant field 

  • Proven experience as a senior leader / general manager / or similar leadership role 

  • Strong leadership of dispersed teams

  • Experience in identifying and developing new market opportunities.
